GERT & UWE TOBIAS - NOTTINGHAM CONTEMPORARY 
Vom 17. Juli bis 3. Oktober 2010 zeigt Nottingham Contemporary neue Arbeiten der aus Rumänien stammenden Zwillingsbrüder Gert und Uwe Tobias. In ihren großformatigen, Farbholzschnitten vereinen die Künstler in einer traditionellen Technik spielerisch Anklänge an die europäische Avantgarde des frühen 20. Jahrhunderts mit den dekorativen und volkstümlichen Mythologien ihrer Heimat.
From July 17th until October 3rd, 2010, Nottingham Contemporary shows new works by the Romanian twin couple Gert and Uwe Tobias. With their large scale, vividly coloured and intricately realised woodcuts, an ancient technique, they playfully unite allusions to the early 20th century European avant-garde and decorative and popular mythologies of their native country.
