CECILY BROWN - ESSL MUSEUM 
Das Essl Museum widmet der in London geborenen Malerin Cecily Brown (*1969) die erste große Museumspräsentation in Österreich. Gezeigt werden ganz neue Arbeiten und ein Werkblock mit Monotypien, die direkt aus dem Atelier in New York kommen. Die Basis der Ausstellung bilden fünf Werke Browns aus der Sammlung Essl, die um internationale Leihgaben ergänzt werden. Dadurch wird ein Rückblick auf das Schaffen der Künstlerin im vergangenen Jahrzehnt ermöglicht.
The Essl Museum is giving the London-born painter Cecily Brown (*1969) her first large-scale museum presentation in Austria. It will show completely new works and a block of work with drawings that come directly from her studio in New York. The basis of the exhibition is formed by five of Brown’s works from the Essl Collection, which are supplemented by international loans. The result provides a retrospective of the artist’s work over the last decade.
